After practicing law for over half a century, he passed away on February 24, 2020.
Co-founder of the firm in 1962. In 1967 Mr. Arnold became counsel to a major construction union and benefit fund and ever since has concentrated his litigation practice in all areas of labor relations representing unions in collective bargaining negotiations, arbitration and matters before state and federal administrative agencies and counseling labor and funds on matters which affect them.
He served as special counsel to the Chicago Transit Authority, Will County States Attorney and prosecutor for the Illinois Department of Labor and has handled special assignments for International Unions including formation of a National Health Care Plan.
Mr. Arnold served as an arbitrator for legal and commercial matters. He taught law students and managers in the private and public sectors on legal and practical labor-relations matters and was an adjunct faculty member of the John Marshall Law School since 1997.
He was recognized as a Leading Lawyer in the field of Labor and Employment based on a statewide survey of lawyers. Leading Lawyers comprise less than 5% of all lawyers in the state.
