Anita Saliu, Associate

Legal Experience

Ms. Saliu concentrates her practice in Labor Law and ERISA related matters. She represents multiemployer benefit funds and unions in matters involving fringe benefit contribution disputes, delinquency collection actions, alter ego and successor liability claims, collective bargaining agreement enforcement, and related employment matters.

Prior to joining Arnold and Kadjan, LLP, Anita served as a Student Attorney with the Community Enterprise & Solidarity Economy Clinic at the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law, where she advised worker-owned cooperatives and nonprofit organizations on governance, liability, tax structure, and compliance matters. She also worked as a law clerk with Chicago-area law firms, where she assisted with civil litigation matters, including trial preparation, drafting pleadings and motions, managing discovery, and preparation of hearing materials.

During law school, Anita served as a Student Publications Editor for the UIC Law Review and was a member of the Moot Court Honors Council and Women’s Law Caucus.

Ms. Saliu is also the author of Why Not Both? How Social Surrogacy Can Further Women’s Rights, published in Volume 58 of the UIC Law Review.
